BioWare Unveils “The Cerberus Network” And Downloadable Content

Mass Effect 2 developer BioWare has finally announced exactly what the “Cerberus Network” is to the public. The “Cerberus Network Card” was an item that is included in all the retail versions but nobody knew exactly what it was until now.

The Cerberus Network is an in-game portal to news, extras and eventually downloadable content. The Cerberus Network will only be free to those who purchase the game brand new, meaning those who buy used games will have to pony up and spend some Microsoft Points to get it. Basically i’m thinking that The Cerberus Network will be a less community-driven Halo: Waypoint, that will feature less video content but hopefully more downloadable content such as in-game armor, weapons and more.
